The Phase I Analysis™, a proprietary offering developed by Founders, provides valuable insight into some of the most important issues for companies, specifically those most related to growth and the building of shareholder value. It helps shareholders and executives to:
- Evaluate the intersection of shareholder and market valuation expectations (in the near, intermediate and long-term);
- Educate shareholders on strategies that will most efficiently and effectively drive shareholder value from a broader capital market perspective, including enhancing funding and liquidity options.
These engagements take shape in a series of detailed meetings and are ultimately expressed and presented in a series of comprehensive deliverables to management, shareholders and, when appropriate, the Board of Directors. A typical Phase I Analysis™ includes:
- Identifying and reviewing the business value drivers and core competencies,
- Reviewing and preparing near-term and long-term pro-forma projections (including economics of growth),
- Quantifying the likely market value range for the company,
- Understanding and documenting shareholder goals and objectives,
- Educating decision makers on capital market options to grow their businesses, build long-term shareholder value and, when appropriate, realize liquidity.
These engagements are unique for each client based on their specific objectives, and are tailored based on these requirements. The Phase I Analysis™ is especially fruitful for our middle market clients in advance of and in preparation for an investment banking transaction, as it serves as an "audit" of strengths and weaknesses and provides focus on the areas of the business that need the most attention. Ultimately it helps our clients to improve both their market attractiveness and competitive position, enhancing the opportunity to maximize shareholder value in both the near and long-term.
