Mr. Keener is a Vice President of Founders Investment Banking with over 16 years of middle market, large-corporate, and international banking experience. Prior to joining Founders, Mr. Keener spent 8 years with Citigroup’s Corporate and Investment Banking Division as a Director in their London and New York offices. While in London, Mr. Keener was responsible for originating, structuring, and managing commitments throughout Europe working within the firm’s Special Situations Group and Global Securitized Markets. His broad capital markets experience extends from equity investments in start-up companies to the private placement of investment grade and non-investment grade tranched debt facilities. Mr. Keener has also worked with domestic and international export credit agencies to complete public and private infrastructure projects.
Mr. Keener’s banking career began in New Orleans, Louisiana as a lender in First National Bank of Commerce’s Industrial and Services Group, which was focused on building relationships with privately-owned, family businesses in Louisiana and the Southeast. Mr. Keener is a native of New Orleans and earned a B.S. in Business Administration from Florida State University.
