Mr. Bernstein is the Managing Principal of Founders Investment Banking’s Healthcare practice. In this position, Mr. Bernstein oversees the firm’s activities in the areas of healthcare services, biomedical devices, pharma, medical real estate and healthcare information services. Mr. Bernstein has over 34 years of experience as an operator, investor, and deal maker in the healthcare arena, including serving as CEO of two major medical centers (one public investor-owned and one physician-partnership model) and as a principal of numerous early-stage firms. He is also founder and President of The Performance Healthcare Group, Inc., a comprehensive healthcare advisory firm active in the services and real estate sectors, with extensive experience in physician practice and hospital sell-side and buy-side experience. Mr. Bernstein serves on the Board of PracticeLogic (a physician practice income enhancement generator).
Mr. Bernstein earned both his undergraduate (Bachelor of Arts, 1974) and graduate degree (Masters in Health Administration / Masters in Management, 1977) from Duke University. He has been married for 34 years and has two adult children.
